Cirrus is committed to reducing any harmful effects that the business has on the environment where at all possible. To demonstrate this, Cirrus has successfully been assessed and accredited with the Environmental Assurance Standard ISO 14001:2004.

Taking into account the nature of the business, Cirrus will endeavour to reuse or recycle, to minimise waste, to use non-polluting technology where possible and to reduce energy consumption.

Sustainability Aims

  • Abiding by environmental legislation, adhering to the relevant regulatory requirements and if possible improving on them
  • Monitoring our environmental policy by auditing the processes, reviewing the effectiveness of our Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and taking measures to improve them if required
  • Ensuring all employees understand our commitment to the ISO 14001:2004 standard and to implement training where required
  • Communicate to our suppliers, customers and subcontractors our commitment to the environmental standard

WEEE Directive Compliance

Cirrus complies with The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive which came into force in the UK in January 2007.

The Directive concerns the disposal of worn-out electrical and electronic equipment and is intended to prevent the use of landfill for this type of equipment and to encourage the recycling of parts.
