How Cirrus Careline works

How is the call to Cirrus Careline activated?
There are many products on the market which allow you to utilise the Cirrus Careline service (i.e. BT In Touch 1000, Smart Call, Tynetec Sayphone, etc.). These products are activated by a pendant, push button or pull cord system that allows the call to be answered by one of our highly trained operators who will talk to you and find out what the problem is. All of the operators have been recruited from differing communications backgrounds. However, there is a common quality they all share, the ability to empathise and deliver a service full of reassurance and understanding. Each operator is extensively trained and this training continues after the initial training period, confirming that we are dedicated to the continual training and development of our staff which ensures our clients receive high levels of customer service.

What happens then?
When your call reaches the call centre, it is identified using a digital code, which automatically brings up all of the details supplied when you registered for the service. These details include name, address, medical history, GP and key holder details.
These details are held on Cirrus Careline's secure computer system and we adhere strictly to the Data Protection Act. You can rest assured that the information is only used for your protection and well being.

The operator will talk to you and decide what course of action to take. When required, they will call your GP or the Emergency Services.

What if I can't answer?
If there is no voice contact after 4 attempts, the emergency services are immediately called.

How will my GP/ the Emergency Services gain access?
Initially, your key holder will be advised of the situation but the Emergency Services may be required to gain forcible entry to your property. Cirrus Careline can advise on various options for safe key storage.
